News of year 2008

• This summer Russian State Hydrometeorological University and the University of Helsinki organized summer practice for 2nd,3d and 4th-year students studing Hydrometeorology at eurogroups.
• The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) offers internships to qualified individuals wishing to gain work experience in a policy-oriented research institute.
• The University of Algarve (Faro, Portugal) is actively participating in the "ERASMUS MUNDUS—EXTERNAL COOPERATION WINDOWS" program.
• Sсholarships for university graduates from European Neighbouring Policy (ENP) countries & Russia to follow courses in the European Union leading to a Master degree in European integration studies.
• All-Russian Fair for Scientific and Creative Works of International Students will be held in Tomsk Polytechnic University.
• International conference "GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE:CHALLENGES TO SCIENCE AND SOCIETY IN SOUTHEASTERN EUROPE" will be held in Sofia, 19 — 21 May 2008.
• The Institute for Geology of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg is pleased to invite you to the V International conference "Uranium Mining and Hydrogeology", taking place in Freiberg (Germany) on September 2008.
• 6th International Marinas Conference "Alliances for Progress" will be held in May 25—28 in Ostend, Belgium.
• "Groundwater & Climate in Africa" — an international conference.
The conference seeks to bring together water and climate scientists to share knowledge and expertise.
• Ice Cold Science: and exhibition on Polar Research into Global Warming will take place at the Sonnenborgh Museum and Observatory of Utrecht (NL).
