International students are an important part of the cultural and social life of the university. International Relations Office (IRO) as Russian State Hydrometeorological Universtity unit is aimed to assist students in their preparations to arrive for study at RSHU and acts as a contact point for students at all stages. IRO structure:1. Academic Mobility Department 2. World Meteorological Organization Relations Department 3. International Projects Department The office is responsible for services for students such as students mobility, international conferencing, holding summer schools and other international projects; programmes including various social events to help you meet other international students. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have in informal surroundings and give useful advices. Feel free to visit the International Office at any time during your stay. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 10:00—18:00. Center for International Education (CIE) is an important part of RSHU. It was established in 2007 to ensure the educational and professional success of foreign students who had chosen to get higher education in this country. CIE structure:1. International Education, Publicity and Marketing Department 2. Academics & Student Affairs, Methodology Department 3. Registration Department 4. Pre-University and Russian Language Department Students from Yemen, China, Congo, Mongolia, Palestine and many other places are currently studying at RSHU. It’s a really multicultural community. They differ in lots of things, but they have something in common — their love for the Russian language. We hope that the Center for International Education of Russian State Hydrometeorological University will be well-known and recognized at the international market of educational services. The university is a Regional Meteorological Training Centre (RMTC) of World Meteorological Organization. Qualifications in the area of meteorology and hydrology conferred on the graduates of the university correspond to WMO qualifications. They are professionally recognized by the WMO country-members. More than 360 students from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America have graduated from WMO RMTC and are now working as top-managers of their National Meteorological Services. |
