News of year 2011
• The 6th Young Water Professionals Conference will be held in Budapest (Hungary) on 10- 13 July 2012. The conference is jointly organized by the International Water Association, the Budapest University of Technology, Department of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering and the Hungarian Water Utility Association.

| • Mr. Behruz Abtakhy (a representative from Ministry of Education, research and technologies, also a representative from Ministry of Health of Islamic Republic of Iran in Russian Federation) visited RSHU at September 23, 2011. |
| • The delegation of VNU University of Science (Hanoi, Vietnam) visited Russian State Hydrometeorological University at 31 August 2011. The memorandum of understanding between VNU HUS and RSHU was signed by Prof.Dr. Bui Duy Cam and Prof.Dr. Lev Karlin. |
• International Summer School "Climate and Environmental Changes" has succesfully finished at RSHU. The Summer School was jointly organized with Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk) and supported by Bank Santander of Spain. The Summer School has gathered together about 40 specialists in climatology and environmental sciences and Master or PhD students interested in this topic.

| • ERANET-MUNDUS (Euro Russian Academic Network - Mundus) Lot 6 (Russia) proposal has been favourable evaluated and selected by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). |
| • Bachelor students 2011 were graduated from the Russian State Hydrometeorological University and have passed succesfully final state exam on hydrometeorology. |
• The VLab CoE Australia will be hosting the Aviation Week from the 30th of May to the 3rd of June 2011. This event is part of the 'Advanced Forecaster Course' organised by the Bureau of Meteorology and will consist of thirteen online sessions. All online sessions from the Aviation Week are open to international participants without any costs, however, participants are asked to register for each session they plan to attend.

| • International Conference "Innovative decisions of modern problems in Fundamental Physics of the Atmosphere and its Applications" successfully completed on May 5 at RSHU. The Conference gather together leaders, researchers and professors of the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Russian State Hydrometeorological University to discuss the modern methods and research areas, perspective areas of research and joint research interests of Russia and Finland in the framework of cooperation of both institutions. |
