The application at RSHU for a guest student grant requires the following documents:

Academic year at RSHU consists of 2 semesters
Autumn semester: September 1st – February 1th
Spring semester: February 7st – June 30st
Official invitation for visa application:
After receiving of positive answer concerning your admission to RSHU, it is necessary to apply for Russian study visa in embassy/consulate of the Russian Federation in the student’s country of residence (except citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistani and Ukraine).
RSHU will prepare official invitation to apply for study visa. To issue official invitation letter it is necessary to fill in application form and send it together with a copy of passport to visa@rshu.ru or ums@rshu.ru. The period of the official invitation letter issuing is one month. Please, take into account time to posting this invitation to you and visa issue period to be in time.
Study visa
After receiving an official invitation letter, a student should refer to embassy/consulate of the Russian Federation in the student’s country of residence. Information about the documents requested to apply for Russian visa can be found on official web page of embassy/consulate of the Russian Federation in the student’s country of residence.
When the visa is received it is important to check the correct spelling of the student’s name, surname and the University’s name: Российский государственный гидрометеорологический университет or short version РГГМУ.
As soon as you received visa and bought tickets, it is necessary (at least one week before the arrival) to inform about date of arrival us at academic.mobility@rshu.ru.
After arrival to Saint-Petersburg a student should go to International Relations Office (Tallinskaya str. 2, Academic Mobility Department, tel. number +7 (812)633-01-96) to proceed with documents. A student should bring passport and migration card, which is issued at customs while entering Russia, 2 fotos for documents (2*3 cm). Medical insurance is issued separately if you do not have it already.Upon arrival a student should also bring originals of all the documents and educational documents.
