News of year 2011
In 2011 Eumetcal will continue to give prompt and expert consultancy on training technology and delivery. The courses of year 2011 include a technical course (on the use of SCENARI and Flash), a wide course of Satellite Meteorology organized in several modules spanning the whole year, jointly with EUMeTrain, and a course in Aviation Meteorology addressing the topic “Communication to aviation users”, which will focus on the communication between the forecasters and the several stakeholder using meteorological services for aviation.

There are some changes in IRO staff made on February 1st, 2011. According to the new staff system Maria Mamaeva has been appointed as head of International Relations Office. |
Dr. Paul Bugeac, one of the most experienced trainer and expert in forecasting and climatology from Romanian Air Traffic Services Administration ROMATSA and core-member of WMO working group on aviation meteorology will deliver training on aviation meteorology «Turbulence and Icing». You will get the great chance to actively participate in the training the main objective of which is to learn more about the modern methods of weather forecasting. Students will have a unique opportunity to practice in how to apply different forecasting techniques. |
The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program offers advanced study opportunities to internatonal students to study abroad. The Programme available for international applicants to study at russian universities also. |
RSHU has received congratulations from WMO secretary-general M. Jarraud, which expressed WMO recognition for significant support of the University to international training in Meteorology and Hydrology. |
