University of Cadiz (UCA, Spain) representatives as Mrs. Regina Stork and Mr. David Sanches Cabrera who are specialists in Academic mobility Department of UCA visited RSHU International Relations Office (IRO) on 11 till 15 of April 2011. The visit took place under the framework of staff of international offices of universities exchange program to get new experience, learn more about educational systems and curriculum organization. Throughout the week, Mrs. Storck and Mr. Cabrera participated in workshops with the staff of IRO RSHU, studying the Russian system of education in universities of Russia, the transition to the Bologna system in the Russian Federation, the organization of international students in RSHU, as well as programs of academic mobility, summer schools and seminars on practical field stations Valaam island, Daymische and sailing catamaran "Centaurus" as Baltic Floating University project.
Some more meeting were organized with participation of RSHU rector Prof. Lev Karlin, Head of Department of Integrated coastal zone management, Dr. Nikolay Plink, students summer field practice supervisor, Mrs. Galina Bashkina, as well as international students of RSHU during an annual fair “People worldwide”.
Throughout the visit, Mrs. Storck and Mr. Cabrera got an experience not RSHU IRO work only, but also of others international departments of St.Petersburg State Polytechnical University Institute of International Educational Programs и Nevsky Institute of Language and Culture .
According to Mrs. Stork’s word, such a training helps to gain new positive experience in cooperation and successive partnership between the universities, to organize academic mobility programmes and concurrent joint educational programmes and courses in successive way, which will provide a valid transition to Bologna declaration principles realization.
We remind you that the cooperation with RSHU and University of Cadiz has more than 10 years of history, which began with the participation of universities in a joint project Tempus, joint research and training, organized by our Department of Integrated coastal zone management at Oceanographical faculty of RSHU.
