Czech students conquer Valaam!

During the period from June 21 to July 24, 2016 the Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Physics at RSHU hosted two students from University of South Bohemia České Budějovice (Czech Republic) – Hollikova Teresa and Trnkova Michaela. Together with Russian students-ecologists they participated in practical training and applied practical training.

During their stay in RSHU Teresa and Michaela conducted field research on the Educational and Scientific Station located in the Valaam island under the supervision of the chief of station, associate professor, PhD A. Stepanova. They made a presentation in front of bachelor and master students at the Department of Applied Ecology at RSHU and defended scientific report on results of the training.

Teresa and Michaela also met with the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Physics PhD N. Zueva and Head of the Department of Applied Ecology, DSc, prof. V. Shelutko. During meeting they learnt about history of the Russian State Hydrometeorological University, the preparation of students in the field of Ecology and international programs of our University. At the end of their stay at RSHU girls received gifts with the symbols of Russian State Hydrometeorological University.
