An official visit of Prof. Andras Szollosi-Nagy, Rector of Institute for Water Education, to RSHU.
On invitation of Rector Lev N. Karlin, from 24 - 25 June Prof. Andras Szollosi-Nagy, Rector of Institute for Water Education, visited RSHU.
In the frames of the visit a workshop was organized with the staff members from the Hydrological Department of the University to discuss prioritized directions for further cooperation.
At the end of the visit it was agreed to sign a Memorandum of Intent, which prescribes further development of joint activities.
Based on the prospective Memorandum, the following activities are expected to be organized: joint training programs, scientific research activities and exchanges, development of academic mobility between students and professors, strengthening of cooperation with WMO on various areas of hydrometeorology, definition of joint activities for fund raising through program Erasmus Mundus post Tempus Program programs, through national and regional funding, and creation of a Category II UNESCO Center in water sciences and education serving – based at the RSHU.
Memorandum of Intent is foreseen to be completed during 2013.
